As a barista, you will provide exemplary customer service and quality beverages/products. We expect a smiling face, warmth, and enthusiasm that makes anyone who walks into the shop feel right at home. Quick and accurate service is a must, being able to accurately take down orders in a timely manner and preparing/making orders correctly and efficiently.
An eye for details and cleanliness is expected as maintaining and cleaning the shop and workspace is a high priority.

Our internships aren’t just about checking a box for you, or accomplishing a task for McDowell, but are opportunities to develop your gifts and passions in the context of healthy ministry. You’ll have a pastor pouring into you, challenging you, and encouraging you along the way.
THE POSITION:
Part-time (10-15 hrs./week). Hourly pay to be discussed throughout interview. Works directly with Worship Pastor, Worship Director and Technical Director.
The ministry: McDowell Worship creates an atmosphere and experience to help people know God, follow Jesus, and open themselves to the Spirit. Our goal is to create experiences that people love to attend and invite their friends to because of the life-changing presence of God.
THE ROLES:
Prepare for and assist in leading Sunday morning worship services
Walk alongside and help develop the volunteer teams who make our worship experiences possible
Learn and lead some of the technical components of worship services
Prepare for and participate in StudentLife worship experiences
Assist in other elements of worship, such as video development and stage design
SKILLS NEEDED:
Humility and a servanthood mindset
Developed vocal and/or instrumental gifts
Experience in leading worship
High relationality
Creativity

The ministry: StudentLife provides opportunities for middle and high school students to encounter Jesus, journey together, and discover their purpose. We use small groups, retreats, mission trips, and anything else we can think of to engage students. We also work to encourage and empower parents in developing their students’ spiritual formation.
THE ROLES:
Work with StudentLife Journey groups and leaders (small group ministry
Plan and implement outreach events
Teach in various settings
Develop relationships with middle and high school students
Other crazy things in order to reach students for Christ.

Ability to work alongside adults and students
Ability to communicate through various mediums with students and adults
Ability to communicate the gospel one on one
Sense of humor and desire to have fun
THE POSITION:
Part-time (10-15 hrs.). Hourly pay to be discussed throughout interview. Works directly with the entire Mountain KIDS team.
The ministry: Mountain KIDS provides relevant, age-appropriate learning and connection opportunities for kids from birth to 5th grade. Our weekend KIDS experiences are designed to introduce kids to the love of God and encourage their spiritual development. Events, camps, and other fun experiences are also created to further connection with our families and kids.
THE ROLES:
Hands-on experience, from behind-the-scenes brainstorming and dreaming, to preparation, communication, and development of weekend ministry
Build relationships with families, kids, and volunteers in the ministry
Develop, prepare, and implement various special events and camps
Assist in the technical and administrative components necessary in ministry to children, including check-in, video development, background checks, stage design, etc.
