You have been hard-wired for something specific. At 201, we will dive into the details of your personality and discover your gifts. These unique wirings have been intentionally placed within you to serve a specific purpose in the Kingdom of God.
At 301, we will find out what it means to be a leader at McDowell. You will get the chance to be connected to everything we have available for you to lead out of your gifts, living out your purpose, and serving others by using your God-given gifts!
Our team uses our gift of administration to support the teams at McDowell by using computer skills, data entry, and attention to details. This team also enhances the worship experience at McDowell by preparing worship folders, communion elements, and other products and materials.

Our team works behind the scenes to maintain and support every area of our church. Specific roles include:
First Responders – Health care professionals who serve by being available to provide basic medical care in the event of an accident or emergency.
Parking Team – Our team serves as the first impression for those coming to McDowell by welcoming people on and off the property and by providing a safe and efficient parking experience.
Safety/Security Team – Our team provides safety and security to staff, volunteers, guests, property, and physical assets on the church campus during weekend services. This team must possess knowledge and experience in the areas of criminal justice, crime prevention, and physical security.
First Impression Team – Our team welcomes every person entering and in our building by providing a joyful greeting. Tasks include recognizing when someone may need extra assistance entering the building, showing them to children’s check-in, where the restrooms are located, and/or hand out worship folders at the entrance of the auditorium.
Connect Central Team – Our team serves as the central connection point for those who come on Sundays by providing information on all of our ministries/events, collecting newcomer information, and providing gifts. This team is also responsible for recognizing when guests or visitors need help locating a ministry or area within our building.
Usher Team – Our team monitors the flow and guest experience inside the worship center by greeting people as they enter, helping find open seats, preparing and administering communion, and collecting a weekly attendance count. This team also serves as our in-service safety team in case of emergencies.
District Coffee Team – Our team brings a personal touch to our worship experiences by providing coffee, snacks, and refreshments. This team is also responsible for set-up and tear down in the café on Sundays.
Prayer Team – Our team covers McDowell’s services, volunteer teams, and congregation with prayer and is available for praying with people during response time in the designated prayer area in the Connect Room.
Meals Team – Our team serves as an extension of McDowell’s care ministry and offers practical support through meals when a person or family in our community is going through a time of need.
Group & Study Leaders – These leaders are trained to help McDowell create intentional environments where people experience community and are encouraged and equipped to take their next step in following Jesus.
Every person serving at McDowell is a part of the Dream Team! However, this team exists to serve, uplift, and encourage our Dream Team members in specific ways.
Dream Team Central Host Team – Our team hosts our Dream Team members by assisting with check-in in Dream Team Central and providing food and encouragement during services and special events.
Events Team – Our team serves at conferences and church-wide events by setting up decorations and facilitating meals and snacks.
Growth Track Host Team – Our team serves as the hosts of the Growth Track, greeting guests, hosting tables, and providing materials and assistance to those discovering their next steps at McDowell.
Our team works closely with our mission pastor to facilitate serving opportunities through our local and global partners, SERVE Week projects, and other campus outreach expressions.
Our mission is to empower parents to raise kids to be passionate life-long followers of Jesus.
Early Childhood Team – Our team ministers to children through Bible stories, worship, prayer, hands-on activities and personal interactions. Requirements: Background check
Elementary Team – Our team invests in the lives of children through worship, Biblical teaching, videos, Small Groups, and games. Requirements: Background check
Mountain KIDS Check-In Team – Our team welcomes families and facilitates the check-in process in Mountain KIDS to ensure children are cared for effectively and efficiently.

StudentLife exists to help middle and high school students in the valley to encounter Jesus, journey together, and discover their purpose.
Coaching Team – A Coach is someone who loves Jesus and is passionate about leading students on a faith journey together. Our coaches help students discover their purpose and point them to Jesus. They lead a specific grade and gender small group with a teammate every Sunday night and connect with students during the week.
Requirements: Age: 18+, Background check
Welcome Team – Our team creates a friendly environment and a positive first impression. They help with student check in, greeting new guests, and follow up with new students and their families.
Requirements: Background check
Tech Team – Our team works to create a fun atmosphere for our Sunday night program. Opportunities include running the light board, sound board, and computer graphics/videos.
Requirements: Background check
Our team facilitates a powerful worship experience through vocals, instruments, and audio/video engineering.
Musician Team – A high level of proficiency is required. A try-out will be held to determine your best fit on our team. Our instrumental positions include guitarists (acoustic/electric/bass), keyboards, drums, violin, mandolin, and banjo. Vocalist positions include soprano, alto, tenor, and bass (ability to harmonize is a necessity).
Production and Tech Team – Our team assists in the production of the overall worship experience, using lights, cameras, and other visual elements. Experience is not required. Training will be provided.
