We carefully select local mission partners in our community that affect positive change in three key areas. As you pursue God’s calling on your life, we want to help you take action on the causes you care most about.
1 out of 6 children in developing countries are underweight. We work to raise awareness and support because we know that eliminating world hunger is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. When individuals living in poverty have increased access to food there is improvement in overall health, which allows for increased productivity and eventual escape from poverty.
There are more than 18,000 children are in our Arizona State foster care system. And every year more than 800 children “age out” of the system when they turn 18 without finding a forever family. In fact, research shows that young people who aged out of the foster care system have a higher chance of experiencing unemployment, homelessness and incarceration as adults. We want to change that narrative.
Homelessness can happy to anyone. 62% of Americans do not have an emergency savings account. One medical bill or car repair could leave them homeless. Homelessness is always a crisis. We want to build relationships and build partnerships with organizations working to prevent and end homelessness in our city.
UMOM New Day Centers mission is to prevent and end homelessness with innovative strategies and housing solutions that meet the unique needs of each family and individual.
It is the mission of Midwest Food Bank to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and malnutrition locally and throughout the world and providing disaster relief; all without discrimination.
